We are Mike, Alison, and Croix and we adore adventuring through life together. It’s been more than 17 years since we eloped to the Island of St. Kitts where we said our vows on a black sand beach under a canopy of palm trees. Life together has been a journey of unexpected surprises, beautiful souls, breathtaking adventures, and filming lots of authentic love stories.
We began photographing weddings many years ago but we fell in love with filming them even more, and for the past almost nine years we have adventured all over the country to film incredible love stories. While the pandemic forced us to slowdown with filming weddings it allowed us to focus all of our energy in my wife's handmade jewelry design business, and for now that's where our adventures continue. You can find some her amazing creations on Instagram @wildrootscreative or online at www.wildrootscreative.shop. and you can see more of our family adventures on our personal instagram @thehappykampers.
Our travel addiction began long before Ali found a 1972 pop-up camper on Craigslist for $700, but our extended travel adventures are a direct result of that amazing find. We used that camper so much that we wore out the seams and woke up one morning practically swimming in our beds after a Florida rain storm. For six months (or more) you'll find us traveling the country in our newer camper, filming, photographing, and adventuring along the way. The travel life fits us so well that we sold our home a couple of years ago so that we could work, explore, and experience life from new and changing locations.
We have an adventurous 9-year-old who has grown up exploring National Parks, hiking through mountains in Utah, California, Colorado, and New Mexico, kayaking in the Florida Keys, and riding donkeys in Mexico. He’s constantly reminding us that life is short and it needs to be enjoyed, that we need to be more present, and that the moments need to be savored.
